1~ What shall we call you?:
Claire. Or Queen of Years

</b>2~ What sort of creature shall you be?</b>
I'm a short, short-haired changeling obsessed with the moon. My parents weren't expecting what they received. Unable to fly, I sit in a chariot, & when not drinking masses of tea I can be found alongside my Consort, who sleeps while I am awake & listening to my favourite steely-eyed band of minstrels. I am also aided by Merlin, & the Lord of the Hunt, who shouts a lot.

3~ What is your favourite tale? Perhaps a link to it, a description of it...whatever you wish!:
anything fantasy, esp. Terry Pratchett.

4~ How do you bring more fancy and whismy and shimmer into the world?:
I find it hard to stop! Stories, nail varnish, clothing, funny way of talking, going to festivals …....

6~ What sort of dwelling would you desire, in our Grove?</b> I live in a very ramshackle dwelling with many other changelings & their attendants, who are never far behind them or me.

7~ What shall be your ~Frolic Cry~? {Sort of like war cry...but less warish :o)}:
Gaudete! [gow-day-tay]

8~ Share something beautiful with us, of any sort :o):

This is a story I wrote.

Once there was a young woman who was followed about by a big black cloud.
The big black cloud blotted everything good and worth having out, so the young woman was often miserable, and thought that life wasn't fair –- she often said as much.
Sometimes there were terrible thunderstorms and the only thing to do was to wait till the sky was clear again.
The sun came out; the leaves fell off the trees; the snow fell and melted and still she felt the same.

One day the sad young woman went to a concert. As she was so sad, she hadn't wanted to go, for she could not see the point.
Eventually she gave in. It was only one night; it would soon be over.
She watched it and tears ran down her face. Her ears were full of the song the woman on stage was singing, and she heard and wanted to hear nothing else.

The woman had a voice like liquid silver. Her song went:

“All you good people, hearken* unto* me
Forget what has been said and done to thee*
Now heed * the words that tonight I have sung
For in your minds far longer they have hung.”

The woman was twirling about like a whirling dervish*, with her coat covered in rainbows. There was a beautiful crown of silver stars on her forehead.

The young woman wished the concert would never cease. Cease it did, though.
When she was asked what was wrong she tried to answer but couldn't through tears.
The older woman looked straight at her and chanted some old English. The younger one's functions nearly let go. Her tears froze on her face, then dried.

And suddenly she realised; many people would never see anything like she just had; just as many wouldn't care; and all that could and would occur wouldn't matter so much any more.
She looked up the words the woman had chanted, wrote them down and said them in her head when the black cloud came.
Then she was very happy and told everyone she met what she had seen, knowing she would never forget it.

I was there too, and I heard that song. I wore some lovely clothes. My top was made out of cobwebs and my trousers out of leaves; they fell off me when I went by a bramble-bush. The glass slippers I had on broke when I stubbed my toe. I don't care, because I never shall forget that concert as long as I live.

1~ What shall we call you? Most people just call me Pix for short.

2~ What sort of creature shall you be? Describe youself to us! I am a forest pixie. Air is my primary element but earth is a close second which is why you'll find me in the northern forests of Ontario, where the quartz comes to the surface and lichen-covered rock faces can be found amidst the trees.

3~ What is your favourite tale? Perhaps a link to it, a description of it...whatever you wish! My favourite tale is a Japanese fable called My Neighbour Totoro

4~ How do you bring more fancy and whismy and shimmer into the world? I sing! All the time! And I often dance about, too! And I smile at everyone! I love to watch them smile back! Also, *looks around* I'm not supposed to tell you this but, *whispers* I'm the one that makes the orange leaves in the fall. It's alot of work! Did you know that there are more orange leaves than the yellow and red combined!? Of course that's nothing like my friend! He has to rust all the cedars! Can you imagine?

5~ What creative tasks do you enjoy? Pictures, drawings, links, poetry...share with us :o) When I'm pretending to be human, I sing with the Durham Shores Chorus as a Bass. I like to think I add beauty when I draw and paint too, mostly illumination
I write short stories, poetry and lyrics and I am also a storyteller of some experience (I'm best with a younger audience). Oh yeah, and I sew. I enjoy creating costumes immensely.

6~ What sort of dwelling would you desire, in our Grove? Oh, I would be happy with a nice, hollow old tree in the forest. As you can see, my current home is a little too crowded.

7~ What shall be your ~Frolic Cry~? {Sort of like war cry...but less warish :o)} Exulto spiritus! - translation: Be joyful in life!

8~ Share something beautiful with us, of any sort :o) How about my most recent poem. I call it Flying.

11:59 am - Fae Furniture
Hello everyone. I am looking for furniture for my bedroom, which is faery/enchanted forest themed. Can anyone recommend good sites to buy that sort of thing online? I'm in the U.S., too, if that matters.

10:09 pm - I drew a picture I thought I'd share
Today has been a lounge around all day and do nothing but relax....tomorrow is going to be a big day...I won't have any time to relax.

Last night [or rather this morning] I started drawing a picture while talking online with one of my friends. You might not think that's to big of a deal...but then again you don't know what I was talking about with this person ^_^. And I just thought that I'd share my work with all of you.

Today, I finished the picture. Actually about 15 mins ago I finished it. I wanted to color it in...well I'll just show you. **Warning** Large Pictures Ahead

Busty Fairy....yes...that's what I wrote....Now are you interested?Collapse )

1~ What shall we call you?
Please call me Sanura...It means cat-like. Although as a nickname you could call me Sagira because I'm small.

2~ What sort of creature shall you be? Describe youself to us!
I'm a wish-granting cat...There are so few of us around. To a human, I look like an ordinary black cat with big green eyes. To those who can see me, I am a catgirl. This is a picture of me in both ways I can be seen...
